Here’s some A-10 badassery for G and Steve. This was a fun day at work, where you get to experience something few others have - standing a few feet away while they fire the 30mm cannon all day. This is a two-second burst. 3900 rounds a minute, or 65 rounds per second. That’s a nice tank you have there. Be a shame if something happened to it.

A few things:

  • It’s becoming increasingly clear that I may have chosen the wrong career path.
  • It says a lot about our current enemies that the threat of lead raining down from their skies isn’t enough to make them think twice about their career paths.
  • The thing that most impresses me about this video is the fact that four of the five humans that appear on screen don’t move a single muscle when that cannon erupts. Watch it again. Look at that guy in the back with his hands on his hips. I don’t know a thing about that guy but I think he should be our nation’s next president.
  • I sleep very well at night knowing a portion of my tax dollars goes towards that beautiful machine.
  • That sound, man. That sound.
